- How should I compose my email for the class?
Always put "COIN 70 - Your Subject" in your subject line, so that all class
members can readily identify these emails.
- How do I get the Weekly Notes?
At the End of each Weekly Lecture Section there is a "zip" file of all the
Weekly Notes, for example, Week 1's zipped files are found at Week 1 Zipped (index.htm is the "Home"
Page)
- Why isn't there one "zip" file for the entire
course?
Two reasons:
1) The course is continually being updated
2) There is too much material to put into one file.
- How do I "UnZip" the files?
Go to WinZip & download the greatest &
latest winzip.exe.
- How do I submit my homework?
Go to the Course HomePage & click on the | SUBMIT YOUR HOMEWORK | link.
THE URL OF YOUR HOMEWORK - is the location of your "Index Page".
- Do I need to have a Website & be able to FTP or
upload files?
YES, this is an Online & "Hands-On" Course.
- How do I check my Grades?
1) You need to provide (email) me your Password. For those individuals who have a
Website through me, your Password will be the same as the for the FTP Password.
2) Go to the HomePage & click on the | GRADES
| link.
- When are the HomeWork Assignments Due?
2 Weeks after they are assigned.
- What about "tests"?
There will 4 Quizzes, a Midterm, & a Final.
These "tests" will be taken Online.
There are also some sample "tests" that are available.
- Why is the "Mailing List" so important?
Two main reasons:
1) It allows me to keep everyone informed
2) It allows you to ask for help from your "classmates".
Odds are someone already has encounter the same problem & figured
out how to solve it.
